Wabi Kasu means “Magic Ball” in Japanese. It is the art of the dish garden. It consists of a small ball of substrate sitting in the sand like a tiny island of life. In larger Wabi Kasu style pieces rock and driftwood may be involved. Rarely they will contain some type of microfauna.
